Coloring My Mundane Life
Having a hard time getting back to my creative-self lately. Winter is creeping up, the darkness is settling in and my heart is still on the mend. I looked for inspiration right at my feet for so many years. I would grab the leash and we would head out for a walk if I needed some fresh air and local flair. My book is filled with all the creativity he inspired. Now what do I do? Well, I started revisiting my old artwork, partly, to be with Dexter, refresh my memories, it is like looking at old photographs for me. Partly to help me figure out what to do next. Then, a thought, if I made coloring pages, I could keep my hands busy and do something nice, right?
So there it is. I am going to make downloadable printable pages, coloring pages, and leave them here. I am old fashioned and don’t use any artificial help, nope, good real human work. I rather enjoy the calming recreating, it is also a mindful revisiting of something that he inspired with no pretenses. It was our life, our neighborhood, I was trying to capture. At the time of making this watercolor painting, I was interested in telling the story of our mundane life that I find so colorful.
So HERE my coloring pages will sit and they are free. Please be respectful and don’t resell, or misuse or litter. Print out as many as you will use, as paper is valuable. And please share the results with me, that would be one of the greatest joys, seeing Dexter in your creations. I am starting with a painting titled Folkoperan, located on Hornsgatan. Dexter is walking with our middle child, who is the reason we have Dexter in our hearts.
To share your colored in masterpieces you can email to me at rebeccacaryanderson@gmail.com or share on social media and tag me, so I know you shared it. I look forward to viewing!
